I’d say, “Check out my blog” — but, you’re already here. Here’s my mug:
It’s always nice to put a face with the name. Consequently, I don’t mind you gawking like that. I’d put this photo on my flickr page so you could look at it in even more ways, but I didn’t take it. Therefore, I can’t do that. I’m not a liar. Except when I’m writing stories.
What an excellent segue! So, this blog is mostly about writing. There will be some non-writing stuff here and there, and I’m sure you’ll find that of interest too. However, if you’re mostly interested in listening to a guy muse and whine as he struggles through the process of writing stories and novels and whatnot, then you might want to subscribe so you can keep up-to-date. Or, you can just float around and get your feet wet. No walking on the water though. Thank you.
It is customary to include some biographical information on these sorts of pages. I am a customary guy.
Born and raised in southeast Texas, I attended the University of Texas at Austin where I earned a bachelor’s degree (with honors) with a double major in Classical Civilization and Religious Studies, and a minor in English. While there I married my wife, Natalie, in August of 2002. We moved up to Boston together (Somerville 02143 to be exact) where I worked on, and received, my master’s degree from Harvard University. While at Harvard, I specialized in the history of early Christianity. Yeah, I’m a dorky expert.
Currently, Natalie and I live in southeast Texas again, waiting for the next thing to come along. In the meantime, she has started a business (Acadian Imaging), and I have rekindled my love for the written word.
Doin’ what God wants us to do is what we’re about. Are we good at it?
