		<description>Great post! I agree wholeheartedly. The &quot;historical Jesus&quot; is a bit of a misnomer for the fact that they&#039;re taking one very complex figure (as we all are, like you said) and trying to fragment Him and stick Him comfortably into one minor facet of His ministry.  I think it&#039;s important to be able to look at those facets individually, but not at the expense of imagining that one particular aspect is all there is. 

Also, would you mind emailing me? I have a few questions about HDS that I&#039;d like to ask you. If you can&#039;t access the email from above, it&#039;s Joshua{dot}McManaway{at}sebts{dot}edu.
