The Assembling of the Church: Jesus abides with me and I can abide with him
Alan Knox, over at The Assembling of the Church, has offered some thought on the notion of Jesus “abiding” with us. This was the final part in a week long series called “5 Things I Dig About Jesus” which he was prompted to write by a blog-tag going around.
I highlight this post here because in my reading of 1 John, I’ve come across this notion of “abiding” and have not been able to explain it adequately.
Alan offers up some insight and, as usual, thought-provoking commentary on what it means to abide—both us with Christ, and Christ with us.
